"It's a real electric racer!" says Alina Lutz, delighted with her new car. As "Starter of the Year," she is being given an E-Smart for a year by the Ludwig Schunk Foundation.
Being under power - that suits Lutz. In Weiss Technik's internal sales department for special systems, she often has to deal with complex customer orders. "I regularly get work orders that I haven't had before in this way. So my work week is very varied and anything but boring. I like it when things get stressful and we have to work well and quickly together as a team to solve our customers' requirements."
Writing offers is one of the most important jobs for the 23-year-old from Laubach. "It's always a great and motivating feeling for me when quotes that I've invested a lot of time and effort in turn into orders from our customers." Teamwork is particularly important to Lutz - which is another reason why she is active in youth employee representation and the fire department. "I enjoy changing things for the better," she says.
"Very good contribution for Schunk"
Lutz was selected by a jury as the best former trainee of the 2020 graduation year. And such dedication to performance is rewarded at the Schunk Group. "You already showed outstanding performance during your training, really took off after that and have already made a very good contribution to Schunk," said Gunthard Sommer, Chairman of the Board of the Ludwig Schunk Foundation, in praise of "Durchstarter" Lutz. By providing the Smart Forfour EQ, he said, Schunk was not only underlining the high value placed on training at Schunk, but was also setting an example of the importance of electric mobility for the technology company.
Parking space next to the boss
Peter R. Manolopoulos, Member of the Management Board of the Schunk Group and Managing Director of Weiss Technik, was also full of praise for the young industrial clerk: "I am really pleased that you work with us in the internal sales department every day with so much verve and commitment. Please continue to be so motivated and ambitious!"
As the host at the Reiskirchen site, Manolopoulos had an additional present: as the "starter of the year," Lutz will receive her own parking space for her E-Smart right next to the management's, as well as a free charging service provided by the fleet management. In other words, the best conditions for Lutz to continue to hit the ground running every day.
